Halo Infinite will release on September 2021 - Halo Infinite Multiplayer 'Demo' (or Public Beta more likely) will be released for everyone at the end of the show - graphical improvement will be big compared to last year : r/XboxSeriesX 2 yr. If not, I suppose you can get mad at me and others for getting your hopes up, but not Microsoft, because they’ve never promised it, or even addressed these rumors. If all goes according to plan, yes, it does seem like you may very well be playing Halo multiplayer this afternoon. But keep in mind Battlefield was not supposed to be released this week, and was delayed into this window, and if Microsoft was planning this, they were no doubt doing it for a long while. This is good news for almost everyone except Battlefield 2042, as Halo Infinite dropping its multiplayer during its launch week would obviously not be something that EA or DICE wants to see. Support studio Certain Affinity may be working on a new game mode for Halo Infinite.The news broke around the same time rumours bubbled up that Certain Affinity is also reportedly working on a Monster Hunter style co-op game with Xbox. At the very least, I am scheduling the rest of my day from 1 PM ET onward to accommodate this, if it does. Whether they are able to pull it off without issues that could cause a delay is the last unknown, but so far all signs seem to be pointing toward the fact that yes, this is happening. The current rumor, which is starting to be backed up by a growing pile of evidence, is that Halo Infinite is going to launch its free multiplayer component three weeks ahead of the stated. Obviously, anything can happen last minute, but I am pretty much 100% convinced this all wasn’t manufactured out of thin air, and this has been a very real plan on Microsoft’s end all along. Though this seems less certain at the moment, and there seem to be fewer sources addressing this aspect of the rumors. The other question mark is something I keep hearing, that the multiplayer launch will also come with a free campaign demo at the same time.
